Role overview
Supervise MDPE and LMC pipeline construction for City Gas Distribution projects. Coordinate site teams, materials and work records so completed work is safe, to specification, measurable and ready for testing and client certification.
Key result areas
- Plan daily work fronts with the project manager and coordinate site teams and contractors for DMA, LMC, MDPE laying, flushing, testing and related activities.
- Check approved drawings, work instructions, permits and site readiness before execution; report constraints before they affect safety or progress.
- Supervise workmanship and follow approved safety and quality procedures; record defects and follow corrective actions through to closure.
- Maintain daily progress, measurement records, green graphs and isometric drawings as required by the project.
- Track material receipts, issues, consumption and physical stock; reconcile differences with the project and stores teams.
- Prepare accurate completion and testing records for project review, client certification, billing inputs and handover.
How success is measured
- Completed quantities and daily progress reconciled with the approved work plan and site records.
- Inspection, testing and corrective-action records complete and traceable.
- Material consumption reconciled with issued stock and completed work.
- Measurements and supporting documents ready for client certification without avoidable rework.
- Safety observations and execution constraints reported promptly and followed through.
What you bring
Education and qualifications
Relevant technical education or practical training in pipeline construction, site quality and safe execution. Prior GI/MDPE City Gas Distribution experience is required.
